Hosting and server logs

When you visit this website, the hosting provider automatically processes technical data (IP address, time, page requested, browser) that is necessary to operate and secure the site (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Log data is deleted after a short period.

Cookies and local storage

This website uses no tracking cookies and no analytics tools. Your choice of appearance (the light or the dark side) is stored locally in your browser. Password-protected application pages set one technically necessary cookie that unlocks access for your browser. Invitation pages set one technically necessary cookie after you reply, so this device remembers your answer (up to 180 days).

Invitations

For private events (for example Friendsgiving) I send personal invitation links. When you reply, I store your name, your answer, what you eat, what you bring, what you could lend us and, if you give them, a note and a profile photo. Other guests see your first name with the initial of your last name, your photo and what you bring. Your note and your full name are visible to the hosts only. No e-mail address or phone number is needed. Saving the date to your calendar happens on your own device or with the calendar provider you choose. The legal basis is your consent and the organisation of the event you were invited to (Art. 6 (1) (a) and (f) GDPR).

You can change or delete your details at any time through your personal link. The data is stored with my hosting and database provider and deleted once it is no longer needed for the event.

Apps

The Mac apps “Martin räumt auf” and “AppVolume” work entirely on your Mac and send no personal data. AppVolume changes the sound of other apps only while it plays and never records or stores it. To find new versions, each app regularly downloads a small file (version.json) from this website, and the new version itself when you choose to install it. Like any visit, these requests are processed as technical data by the hosting provider (see above).

Getting in touch

If you e-mail me, I process your details to handle your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
